Tourism Product Development Company Ltd. (TPDCo.) is seeking to identify a motivated, qualified and results-oriented professional to fill the following position:
Project Officer – Montego Bay
Under the direction of the Project Coordinator (Project Manager), the Project Officer will monitor, facilitate and act as liaison for projects involving the enhancement and/or development of tourism products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaises with project owners on behalf of TPDCo.
- Executes tasks which derive from the facilitation process.
- Visits and monitors project sites and reports to Co-ordinator on a timely basis
- Liaises with technical experts within TPDCo, including architects, quantity surveyors and product quality officers in the facilitation process.
- Liaises with funding institutions on behalf of project owners
- Assists with project plans preparation
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of project management, analysis and management
- Knowledge of government procurement procedures and contract administration
- Proficient in the use of computers and applications for data analysis
- Excellent communication skills in various media
WORKING CONDITION
- Ownership of reliable motor vehicle is a requirement
- Incumbent will be expected to do extensive travel
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related discipline
- Five (5) years’ experience in project management at the supervisory level
or three (3) years supervisory experience in construction management with an emphasis on project management
