Kingston, Jamaica; Wednesday August 30, 2023 – Rafting on the Rio Grande, one of Jamaica’s most iconic and cherished attractions, announces an upcoming rate increase to ensure continued high-quality experiences for its valued visitors. Effective September 1, 2023, the new rates will better align with operational costs and address the demands of the raftsmen, who have shown an increased need for higher rates.
According to Executive Director of TPDCo Wade Mars, “in response to changing market dynamics and to sustain the authenticity and integrity of the experience, Rafting on the Rio Grande has made the decision to adjust its rates. This adjustment is necessary to keep pace with rising operational expenses and to ensure that both guests and the local community can enjoy an exceptional rafting adventure.”
New Rates Effective September 1, 2023:
- Long Trip: The rate for the long trip will be increased from $7,300.00 to $12,000.00.
- Short Trip: The rate for the short trip will be increased from $6,000.00 to $10,000.00.
Special Rates for Groups and Locals:
To accommodate various needs, Rafting on the Rio Grande is also pleased to offer special rates for groups and local residents with a valid ID.
Rafting on the Rio Grande remains committed to providing unforgettable memories and authentic experiences while ensuring the sustainability of the attraction for generations to come. Visitors are encouraged to book their rafting trips through the offices of the attractions and licensed operators to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
